At Faha National School, the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our top priority.
We are fully committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment where all pupils feel secure, valued, and supported. As a school, we recognise our statutory responsibility to protect children from harm and to respond appropriately to any concerns.
Faha National School follows the Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017) and the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools (DES 2017). Our staff are fully trained in child protection procedures, and we have clear policies in place to ensure best practice at all times.
Our Designated Liaison Person (DLP) is the school principal Mr. Jerry Fitzgerald, and the Deputy DLP is the deputy principal Ms. Anne-Marie Knightly. They are responsible for handling all child protection concerns in line with national guidelines.
You can view our full Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment in the "Policies and Downloads" section of our website.
We are committed to working closely with parents, guardians, and relevant agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of all children in our school community.
