3rd Class

Welcome to 3rd Class – an exciting new stage in your child’s primary school journey!

Moving into the senior end of the school, pupils in 3rd Class take on new challenges and responsibilities as they continue to grow in confidence and independence. It’s a year full of discovery, creativity, and personal development.

In 3rd Class, children build on their skills in English, Gaeilge, and Maths, while also exploring a broad and engaging curriculum that includes SESE (History, Geography, and Science), SPHE, PE, Music, and the Visual Arts. Project work, group activities, and hands-on learning are an important part of the classroom experience, helping pupils to think critically, work together, and express their ideas.

This year also brings exciting opportunities to develop digital literacy, participate in school initiatives, and become more active members of the school community. Social and emotional wellbeing is nurtured through a positive classroom environment where respect, kindness, and encouragement are at the heart of all we do.

Mr. McCann's 3rd Class has 26 boys & girls this year. The children are no longer part of the junior school - they are seniors now! 3rd Class is an exciting step forward, and we look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and success!
