6th Class
Welcome to 6th Class – the final year of primary school and a very special chapter in your child’s educational journey.
This year is all about preparation, leadership, and celebration. In 6th Class, pupils build on everything they have learned so far, developing greater independence, responsibility, and confidence in their abilities. We focus on deepening understanding across all subjects – English, Gaeilge, Maths, SESE, SPHE, the Arts, and PE – while also encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.
6th Class students are role models for the younger children in the school and often take on leadership roles such as helping with school events and supporting school initiatives. It’s a time when friendships grow stronger, memories are made, and students begin to prepare for the transition to secondary school.
As always, we place great importance on wellbeing, inclusion, and creating a supportive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and encouraged to do their best.
The 6th Class teacher this year is Ms Dennehy and she has 31 boys & girls in her class. This is a milestone year for the children as it marks their last year in Faha N.S. It is also the year they make their Confirmation and move on to secondary school! We look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories!
Healthy Heart Projects – 6th Class ❤️🍎
Our 6th Class pupils have been learning all about the importance of keeping our hearts healthy. As part of their learning, they created colourful and imaginative artwork to share their knowledge and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
The pupils explored the benefits of regular exercise, healthy eating, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep and looking after our mental wellbeing. They then used their creativity to turn their ideas into eye-catching heart-themed artwork.
The finished pieces are bright, informative and full of positive messages about taking care of our hearts. We are very proud of the effort, creativity and enthusiasm shown by our 6th Class pupils. Well done, everyone! ❤️🎨
Name Doodles 🎨✏️
Our 6th Class pupils got creative with name doodles! They transformed their names into colourful and imaginative pieces of artwork, using patterns, shapes, symbols and lots of creativity.
Each doodle was unique and reflected the personality and individuality of the pupil who created it. It was wonderful to see the class experiment with different designs and artistic styles.

Our Listry Project 🌿💚
Our 6th Class pupils have been busy working on an exciting project all about Listry. Through research, discussion and creative activities, the children explored the local area and learned more about its history, people, places and community.
The project gave the pupils an opportunity to develop their research skills while also celebrating the wonderful place we call home. They worked together, shared ideas and presented their learning in creative and engaging ways.
We are very proud of the enthusiasm and effort shown by 6th Class throughout the project. Well done, everyone! 👏🌟
6th Class STEM 🔬💡
Our 6th Class pupils have been busy exploring the exciting world of STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!
Through a range of hands-on activities and challenges, the children have been developing their problem-solving, teamwork and creative thinking skills. They have enjoyed investigating ideas, designing solutions, experimenting and learning from their results.
It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm, curiosity and imagination shown by everyone. STEM learning is a great way to encourage pupils to ask questions, think creatively and discover how things work.
