4th Class

Welcome to 4th Class – a year full of growth, curiosity, and exciting new learning opportunities!

In 4th Class, pupils continue to build on the solid foundations of earlier years while becoming more independent and confident in their learning. This is a year where children are encouraged to think more critically, ask questions, and explore new ideas across all areas of the curriculum.

We focus on strengthening key skills in English, Gaeilge, and Maths, while also engaging in a wide range of subjects including History, Geography, Science (SESE), SPHE, Music, Visual Arts, and PE. Learning is made meaningful and enjoyable through interactive lessons, project work, group activities, and the use of digital tools where appropriate.

In addition to academic progress, we place great importance on social and emotional development. 4th Class is a time when pupils develop stronger friendships, learn the value of teamwork, and gain a deeper understanding of respect, responsibility, and kindness within our school community.

The 4th Class teacher this year is Ms O'Sullivan. There are 25 boys & girls in the class. We look forward to a positive, productive, and fun-filled year in 4th Class!

A Special Visit from the Sam Maguire Cup 💚💛

There was great excitement at Faha National School recently when we welcomed a very special visitor — the famous Sam Maguire Cup!

As proud Kerry supporters, pupils and staff were thrilled to have the opportunity to see the cup up close and celebrate Kerry. The school was full of green and gold as everyone gathered to admire one of the most iconic trophies in Irish sport.

Each class had their photograph taken with the Sam Maguire Cup, creating wonderful memories for all our pupils. There was a real sense of pride and excitement throughout the day, with many smiles, cheers, and plenty of football chat!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special visit possible. It was a day that will be remembered for many years to come at Faha National School.

Fourth Class Latest Artwork 🎨🖌️

Fourth Class have been deeply engaged in recent art activities, showcasing creativity, imagination, and great attention to detail. The children explored a range of materials and techniques, experimenting with colour, form, and texture to bring their ideas to life.

There has been a strong focus on personal expression, with each pupil developing their own style and approach. The classroom has been filled with thoughtful discussion, careful planning, and lots of pride in the finished pieces.

It has been wonderful to see the effort and enthusiasm shown by all, and the standard of work produced has been very impressive.

New Year 🎉🎇

4th Class explored the theme of New Year vision through a creative art lesson. The children drew pictures of themselves and designed clothing that reflected their hopes, goals, and visions for the year ahead. Using colour, symbols, and personal details, their artwork shows thoughtful reflection, creativity, and a positive outlook for the New Year.
