5th Class

Welcome to 5th Class – an exciting and important year in your child’s primary school journey!

In 5th Class, pupils begin to take greater ownership of their learning as they develop confidence, independence, and leadership skills. This year offers plenty of opportunities to deepen understanding across the curriculum, with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, Gaeilge, and SESE (History, Geography, and Science).

Our classroom is a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child is supported to reach their full potential. Through project work, group activities, class discussions, and hands-on learning, pupils are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, and express their ideas clearly.

We also place great emphasis on wellbeing, personal development, and positive relationships. 5th Class pupils often take on more responsibility within the school, setting a positive example for younger classes.

The 5th Class teacher this year is Ms. Kelly. There are 31 children in this class. Some of their beautiful artwork is displayed here. This is a year full of growth – academically, socially, and personally – and we look forward to all the learning, fun, and memorable experiences ahead!
