5th Class

Welcome to 5th Class – an exciting and important year in your child’s primary school journey!

In 5th Class, pupils begin to take greater ownership of their learning as they develop confidence, independence, and leadership skills. This year offers plenty of opportunities to deepen understanding across the curriculum, with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, Gaeilge, and SESE (History, Geography, and Science).

Our classroom is a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child is supported to reach their full potential. Through project work, group activities, class discussions, and hands-on learning, pupils are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, and express their ideas clearly.

We also place great emphasis on wellbeing, personal development, and positive relationships. 5th Class pupils often take on more responsibility within the school, setting a positive example for younger classes.

The 5th Class teacher this year is Ms Kelly. There are 31 children in this class. Some of their beautiful artwork is displayed here. This is a year full of growth – academically, socially, and personally – and we look forward to all the learning, fun, and memorable experiences ahead!

A Special Visit from the Sam Maguire Cup 💚💛

There was great excitement at Faha National School recently when we welcomed a very special visitor — the famous Sam Maguire Cup!

As proud Kerry supporters, pupils and staff were thrilled to have the opportunity to see the cup up close and celebrate Kerry. The school was full of green and gold as everyone gathered to admire one of the most iconic trophies in Irish sport.

Each class had their photograph taken with the Sam Maguire Cup, creating wonderful memories for all our pupils. There was a real sense of pride and excitement throughout the day, with many smiles, cheers, and plenty of football chat!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special visit possible. It was a day that will be remembered for many years to come at Faha National School.

Fifth Class Latest Artwork 🎨🖌️

Fifth Class have been working hard on their most recent art pieces, showing excellent creativity and imagination throughout. The children explored a variety of techniques and approaches, carefully developing their ideas from initial sketches through to finished work.

There has been a strong emphasis on detail, composition, and personal expression, with each pupil bringing their own unique style to their artwork. The classroom has been full of focus, discussion, and a real sense of pride in the creative process.

We are very proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and high standard of work demonstrated by all in Fifth Class.

5th Class Artwork This Month 🎨🖌️

5th Class has been very busy this month working on a variety of art projects. The pupils explored different themes and used a range of materials to create their pieces.

It has been great to see their creativity and effort on display throughout the classroom. Well done to all the boys and girls for their fantastic work! 🌟
