Junior Infants
Welcome to Junior Infants – the very beginning of your child’s exciting journey through primary school! This year is all about settling in, making new friends, and exploring the world of learning in a happy and safe environment. In Junior Infants, children engage in play-based activities that help develop their language, early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Our classroom is a nurturing and friendly space where each child is supported with kindness and patience as they take their first steps in school life. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence through fun, hands-on learning experiences. We understand how important this first year is for your child, and we are committed to making it positive, enjoyable, and full of memorable moments.
The Junior Infants teacher is Ms. Wrenn. This year we have 24 boys & girls in the class. Some already have big brothers & sisters in the school and others are from new families. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead in Junior Infants!
Our Junior Infants have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit with a beautiful collection of festive artwork. The classroom has been buzzing with excitement as the children explored seasonal colours, sparkles, and winter themes in their very first Christmas art activities at school.
These festive projects also gave our youngest learners the chance to practise important early skills — cutting, sticking, mark-making, and experimenting with shapes and textures — all while having great fun.
Their completed creations are now brightening our corridors and adding wonderful Christmas cheer to the school. We are so proud of the Junior Infants and the magic they have brought to this special season. Well done, boys and girls!
